Trivia about 150 Years Ago in Taiwan aka Formosa

Did you know that the first missionaries in Taiwan 150 years ago were Jesuits? They were expelled and returned very late in the 19th Century. The name of St. Francis Xavier comes up as he once set foot in Formosa. He also started a small community in Macau. The Church or rather chapel still holds masses to many Filipino residents there, I understand. Cool!
